Having made a decision to exhibit at the Offsite construction show 2016 at Excel the team all mucked in and we had one of the best outcomes we could have ever wished for.
We posed 3 questions to our passers by
Is a lack of skilled modelling and detailing resources stopping you getting on site?
Are you having problems learning the skills in digital engineering?
Is traditional methodology not allowing you to activate your vision?
Lots of great conversations, plenty of interest in what we do and a lot of support for the new initiatives we have launched recently. The support we receive from the community is so motivating for us and long may it continue.
Day 1 was a pretty intense set up of our display followed by a really nice dinner in Canary Wharf hosted by our friends and colleagues at Build Offsite. Big shout out to the team there for a super start to the show. Much appreciated. http://www.buildoffsite.com
The show was our official launch of our new Design 4 Structures division. The new division set up under the stewardship of Jonathan Lock was very received. It’s clear the opportunities that BIM and DFMA will create sees us very well placed to help all layers of the supply chain. Architects and Engineers right through way through to our loyal fabrication partners can see the clear value that the Design 4 Structures team can offer.
Boosted by our newly refreshed website http://www.tdsmidlands.co.uk the core TDS business had some great conversations around some significant new projects. We are genuinely excited about some of the illustrious partners we are being engaged by and we buzzing that companies we have partnered with for decades are now enjoying the benefits of their hard work. Power to the UK fabricator community.
As a group we now feel very well placed to offer our partners many of the services they need, ranging from design calculations through to up-skilling your teams.
Dan was invited to give and overview of how we are helping the construction community and once again showing empathy to the over arching challenges faced by us all and offering up some solutions proved a very stimulating debate for the audience from across the sector.
As natural networkers we loved the interaction we enjoyed with industry’s thought leaders over a couple of days. We are always open minded as to how we can improve what we do and some of the new ideas we saw at the show will help us and our customers cope with the demand being created in the market.
Looking forward to the 2017 event already.
